Introduction
Addressing the significant gaps identified in our previous study: Data-informed decision-making: Driving better vaccine policy regarding the lack of comprehensive data and the divergence in immunisation processes, this project was initiated as a response to concerns raised by the board and membership of CLCI. These issues were marked as critical areas needing focused research and strategic intervention.
Objective
The primary goal was to establish a detailed, data-driven understanding of current immunisation practices to streamline and enhance vaccine delivery and policy formulation across different populations.
What we did
Research Design and Leadership: Developing and curating project methodologies tailored to investigate the intricate aspects of vaccine policy and delivery.
Survey Implementation and Data Collection: Crafting and disseminating specialized surveys to collect essential data, ensuring a broad and representative response rate across the network.
Collaborative Efforts: Engaging with the CLCI network to foster a collaborative environment, the project emphasized co-creation and shared leadership in all phases, from ideation through to execution.
Review and Refinement: Coordinating comprehensive reviews and integrating feedback from diverse stakeholders to refine approaches and outcomes.
Impact
This initiative has significantly contributed to the foundational knowledge necessary for shaping informed, agile, and inclusive vaccine policies. By aligning closely with CLCI’s strategic objectives, the project supports ongoing efforts to improve life course immunisation practices, ultimately fostering enhanced public health resilience.
